At the mid-program Demo Day held in Marunouchi, Tokyo, progress was reported on 3 pilot projects conducted through TLCC's co-creation clusters, along with the use of AI agents by the US company LeapLab. Seino Holdings and Mobirta are piloting the digitization of vehicle inspections, while Mitsubishi Warehouse and Quark are piloting the digitization of warehouse processing. Sagawa Express and local companies are working on a solution that allows tourists to have souvenirs delivered rather than carry them home. The selections for the second round of LOAD have also been finalized.
At its mid-program Demo Day, TLCC reported progress on 3 co-creation projects: Seino Holdings and Mobirta's digitization of daily vehicle inspections, Mitsubishi Warehouse and Quark's digitization of warehouse processing, and Sagawa Express and a local company’s solution for allowing tourists to have souvenirs delivered rather than carry them home. Mobirta will install tire-pressure sensors on vehicles and make inspection data manageable on a single screen. Mitsubishi Warehouse and Quark are working to digitize on-site decisions and automate form preparation using AI, with implementation targeted by FY2027. Sagawa introduced a souvenir delivery service as a measure to address tourists refraining from purchases because they do not want to carry souvenirs.
LeapLab also presented an example of using AI agents, demonstrating a system that automatically handles everything from reconciling delivery status to tracking shipments and drafting replies. Kamigumi, Sumitomo Warehouse, Japan Post Capital, Japan GLP, MOL PLUS and LOGISTEED were selected for the second round, and will report their results after 6 months of incubation.
