At its first-half 2026 results briefing, SIIX reported that net profit reached ¥4.6 billion, up 46% year on year. The return to profitability in Europe and rapid growth in industrial equipment drove earnings growth.
At its first-half results briefing for the fiscal year ending December 2026, SIIX disclosed a substantial year-on-year increase in consolidated first-half net profit. President Hiraoka emphasized that the company had developed a business structure in which revenue growth translated more readily into profit.
First-half revenue was ¥150.7 billion, gross profit was ¥15.7 billion, operating profit was ¥5.6 billion, ordinary profit was ¥6.4 billion, and profit attributable to owners of the parent was ¥4.6 billion. The gross profit margin improved to 10.4% and the operating margin to 3.7%. On an underlying basis excluding foreign exchange effects, revenue declined 1.6%, while profit improved.
By segment, the return to profitability in Europe was the largest contributing factor, with European operating profit shifting from a loss of ¥570 million in the same period of the previous year to a profit of ¥280 million. Japan increased operating profit from ¥460 million to ¥1.02 billion, while Greater China reported lower profit and the Americas saw a slight decline. Operating profit from industrial equipment increased to ¥2.32 billion, and its share also rose.
As pillars for acquiring new customers and developing new businesses, the company cited expanding transactions with major European electronics manufacturers and cultivating an end-to-end industrial equipment business. It outlined plans to grow this business to more than ¥10 billion under its next medium-term management plan. The company also expects to continue strengthening its financial position by improving inventory days and receivables turnover days, generating free cash flow, and increasing its equity ratio.
