LY Corporation and Bain Capital announced plans to raise the tender offer price for Kakaku.com. If cooperation from major shareholders is secured, the price will be raised from ¥3,640 to ¥3,720; if not, it will be adjusted to ¥3,597.
LY Corporation and U.S. investment fund Bain Capital announced that they would raise the tender offer price proposed for Kakaku.com. The price is expected to rise from the current ¥3,640 to ¥3,720, which would apply if cooperation is secured.
If cooperation from major shareholders is not secured, the increase would be limited, and a proposal has also been presented to raise the price from ¥3,520 to ¥3,597. The aim is to offer a price above that of European fund EQT, which has launched a tender offer.
LY Corporation and Bain are also taking into account reviews by antitrust authorities in various countries in connection with the acquisition, and the tender offer price may change depending on future negotiations.
