Nestlé Japan will open the “Nestlé Japan Section Manager Heidi's Work Experience Café” for a limited time at Nescafé Harajuku in Harajuku, Tokyo, from 7 to 21 October. Visitors will be able to enjoy limited-edition menu items using Milo and KitKat, as well as a desk exhibit recreating Section Manager Heidi's workplace.
The company explained that it chose Section Manager Heidi because the character's vision of coexistence between nature and people overlaps with Creating Shared Value (CSV) and sustainability, and said the aim was to communicate its corporate activities to a broad range of generations. The response at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai provided the backdrop and an opportunity to strengthen corporate communications.
The venue features Section Manager Heidi's desk, a work notebook and a display of her computer screen, and introduces initiatives including proposals for healthy coffee habits, coffee cultivation in Okinawa, adoption of rescued cats, upcycling used packaging and sustainable logistics.
The company said that providing experiences in a physical setting, rather than relying solely on digital communications, deepens understanding, and sought to expand its communications through a media experience event held on the first day.
