MOLDINO has added φ160 and φ200 large-diameter support-type holders to the Alpha High Feed Radius Mill “TR4F,” expanding the lineup to 8 items in total. The additions support rough face milling of large components and machining reference surfaces on molds and dies.
MOLDINO has expanded the lineup of the “Alpha High Feed Radius Mill TR4F,” a cutter for high-feed machining, and launched new φ160 and φ200 large-diameter holders incorporating a support mechanism. This strengthens support for machining applications requiring large-diameter tools, including rough face milling of large components and machining reference surfaces on molds and dies.
The TR4F was developed for highly efficient machining of large components and has been used mainly for shape machining in mold and die manufacturing since its launch in April 2020. The previous maximum cutting diameter was φ125, and φ160 and φ200 holders have now been added in response to demand for larger diameters.
The new support mechanism allows the holder body to continue being used even if the tool is damaged during machining, which is expected to help reduce tool costs. The insert mounting design has also been improved to reduce the risk of cutting-edge chipping while maintaining high cutting performance.
The 8 new φ160 and φ200 items are priced at ¥436,620–¥543,230, excluding consumption tax. They are expected to help shorten machining times and reduce costs for large components.
