Euglena, a health food and cosmetics company, has launched Eye Boost Injection, a click-activated serum specializing in eye care. Hollow microneedles deliver the ingredients into the stratum corneum, while the formula includes 3 types of peptides, ceramides and next-generation retinol.
Euglena, which operates health food and cosmetics businesses, launched its new product Eye Boost Injection on 2 November to address multiple signs of aging around the eyes. The previous product, Conk Wrinkle Injection, has been gaining popularity, particularly among consumers with a strong interest in beauty, and is positioned as one of the company’s core products.
The new product uses hollow microneedles designed to deliver beauty ingredients directly to the skin’s stratum corneum. The formula includes 3 types of peptide complexes, as well as ceramides, next-generation retinol, alpha-arbutin and caffeine, with the stated aim of improving skin firmness and elasticity and promoting a brighter appearance.
The cream-based serum combines the ability to deliver ingredients while enveloping the eye area with moisturizing properties and ease of massage. The group company サティス製薬 published research findings on the penetration properties of hollow microneedles.
At a talk session featuring aesthetic medicine specialists, speakers noted that aging around the eyes involves multiple factors, including changes in bone structure and fat as well as blood flow, ultraviolet exposure and dryness, not wrinkles alone. They emphasized the importance of starting daily care early and continuing with moisturizing and protection from ultraviolet exposure.
