The customer-acquisition service "Po Tra," developed with the cooperation of 3 major gaming-machine makers and 3 IPs, will fully launch on 2 November. Its distinguishing feature is a system combining digital and physical trading cards to encourage visits and circulation within trading areas.
The new trading-card-based customer-acquisition service "Po Tra" will begin full-scale operations on 2 November. It combines digital and physical trading cards and aims to encourage visits through trading cards.
Users can earn free points by viewing dedicated pages for participating stores and visiting nearby locations. They can use the points they accumulate to spin a digital gacha and receive a voucher for exchanging it for a physical card. The voucher can be exchanged for a physical trading card at a store, or users can choose home delivery.
The trading cards come in multiple rarities, with different cards offered in digital and physical formats to strengthen the collection element. A "Drop Campaign" offering promotional trading cards at locations across Japan will also be held regularly to encourage repeat visits.
For this rollout, SANKYO, Universal Entertainment Corporation and Sammy are cooperating to provide a total of 900 promotional trading cards featuring their respective IPs. The organizers are also considering expanding cooperation with other manufacturers after the 2 November launch.
