メタルアート reported ordinary profit of ¥760 million for the cumulative first quarter, up 46.4% year on year. Recent net sales were ¥10,888 million, operating profit was ¥715 million and net income was ¥450 million.
The first-half outlook was revised upward, with ordinary profit changed from the previous forecast of ¥1.08 billion to ¥1.58 billion, which is also expected to exceed the ¥1.62 billion recorded in the same period of the previous year. Accordingly, the full-year ordinary profit forecast was also raised to ¥2.84 billion.
Along with the full-year revision, the dividend policy was also reviewed. The company plans to pay a dividend of ¥80 for the first half and ¥80 for the second half of the current fiscal year. The full-year dividend is planned at ¥160, changing the policy from no dividend.
The upward revision is based on the assumption that strong first-half performance will continue, supported by sales growth and improved profit margins. The earnings summary PDF is posted separately and sets out recent results and the outlook.
