A subsidiary of S-Pool, Inc. will initially launch its new employment model for people with disabilities, “わーくはぴねす C'Raft,” in Nagoya. Multiple processes centred on confectionery production will be carried out by a 4-person team.
The first site will be initially launched within “わーくはぴねす農園Plus 名古屋第2” in December 2026, with a full-scale nationwide rollout, beginning with the Kanto and Kansai regions, scheduled to start in March 2027. The operations will comprise multiple processes, including chocolate moulding, nut processing, baked-goods production, packaging and inspection, as well as coffee-bean roasting and drip-bag production, and will be carried out by a 4-person team consisting of 3 people with disabilities and 1 support staff member.
Against the backdrop of revisions to the Act on Employment Promotion, etc. of Persons with Disabilities and growing demand for improvements in the “quality” of employment, the company’s “わーくはぴねす農園” is used by approximately 750 companies, providing employment for more than 5,200 people with disabilities, with a workplace retention rate of approximately 92%.
The launch of the new model is expected to broaden the scope of support services for companies, with applications envisaged for internal events and commemorative gifts, gifts for business partners and promotional items. Going forward, collaboration with companies is expected to expand employment opportunities in confectionery- and coffee-related manufacturing and processing.
