Japan-Korea Content Co-Creation Week 2026 is an event bringing together content companies and industry stakeholders from Japan and South Korea. It will be held for 4 days, from 29 September to 2 October, at KOCCA CKL TOKYO in Tokyo. The event aims to promote co-production and IP collaboration, with a program that includes forums, pitches, 1:1 business matchmaking, networking, workshops and IP exhibitions.
Forum 1, scheduled for the first day, will introduce policy developments and support measures in Japan and South Korea, with representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and KOCCA taking part. Forum 2 will discuss the results and challenges of co-production in the broadcasting and video industries, while experts from Japan and abroad are expected to share perspectives on the potential for Japan-Korea co-creation in video content.
An IP exhibition by 15 companies based at CKL TOKYO will be held at the Innovation Lounge from 29 September to 2 October. Each company will use terminals to showcase the works and IP it wishes to present, and company introduction videos are also scheduled to be screened. Pitches will also be held in a presentation format, with each company given 5–7 minutes.
In November, 1:1 business matchmaking sessions focused on business expansion in the Japanese market will be held, providing an opportunity for concrete discussions between Japanese and Korean companies on co-production, IP licensing, distribution, investment and business partnerships.
