SDS has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement for Japan with Thailand's Bangkok Magnet Wire Co. and is reportedly scheduled to begin exclusive sales of heat-resistant magnet wire for motors and transformers in October 2026.
SDS has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement for Japan with Bangkok Magnet Wire Co., a major Thai manufacturer of magnet wire, and has established a framework for supplying heat-resistant magnet wire with superior heat resistance to the domestic market. The newly added heat-resistant magnet wire is described as capable of withstanding harsh conditions, including those found in transformers, inverter-driven motors and high-voltage surge environments.
Going forward, SDS is said to be targeting sales of ¥6 billion by 2030, approximately 2.4 times fiscal 2025 actual results, by using sales channels including the “Kaeru-ya” online store, expanding its lineup of general-purpose magnet wire and strengthening its stable supply framework.
Products handled by Bangkok Magnet Wire Co. include heat-resistant magnet wire from the AIW, AM200A, EIAIW and PEWY series. Their features are said to include reliability based on heat resistance, high electrical conductivity and uniform coating thickness. As part of its sales and supply framework, SDS is consolidating its logistics operations in Adachi-ku, Tokyo, strengthening inventory management and advancing services such as real-time inventory availability checks through “Kaeru-ya.”
Going forward, SDS is said to plan to expand its domestic and overseas lineup and address custom and heat-resistant products, with the aim of enhancing its position as a comprehensive trading company for general-purpose magnet wire.
