FCCL has adopted a PC strategy based on the way people live in Japan and began rolling out the FMV 2026 winter models on 23 October. The lineup features designs focused on how PCs are used in the Japanese market, including the world's lightest-class FMV Note U and the FMV Note A, which features an optical drive.
Fujitsu Client Computing Limited (FCCL) has launched 11 models across 5 series as its FMV 2026 winter lineup. At the launch event, the president emphasized the company's past No. 1 position in the market while presenting a design philosophy tailored to the Japanese market.
As component costs for memory and SSDs continue to rise, FCCL emphasized adapting its products to how people use them in Japan rather than competing solely on performance. Based on an analysis of buyers' behavior and usage patterns, the company is focusing on the fact that people in Japan frequently move around while using PCs at home.
The three key design principles are "fit people's lifestyles," "make them comfortable to use" and "provide peace of mind for long-term use." Based on analysis of data from more than 90,000 customers, the company is developing products around usage scenarios in Japan.
The flagship product is the FMV Note U, which achieves a world-leading weight of approximately 634g with a 14-inch display, supports multiple platforms and is offered as a Copilot+ PC. Its key features include enhanced durability and portability for Japan's distinctive usage environment.
