Kanaden raised its second-quarter earnings forecast. It increased its operating profit forecast from the previous outlook, citing steady AI and data-center demand as the main factor.
In the company’s FA systems business, semiconductor manufacturing equipment and power distribution equipment grew, while power equipment for data centers performed well in the building facilities business. Wi-Fi modules for household electrical equipment in the semiconductor and device business also performed well. Full-year figures are still under review.
Meanwhile, Kioxia HD fell sharply with a gap down the previous day, breaking below its recent low reached on 31 August. The stock approached the 200-day moving average at approximately ¥14,380 and fell to around ¥15,000. Having broken below the lower boundary of the Ichimoku cloud, the stock is now in a phase in which the sluggishness of a rebound is attracting attention. It may be viewed as being at a stage where buying aimed at an autonomous rebound is likely to enter.
