As of noon on the 11th, the nearest Nikkei 225 futures contract on the Osaka Exchange had fallen sharply to ¥63,150, down ¥1,740 from the previous day, while the cash Nikkei Stock Average stood at ¥34,669.39 at the end of the morning session, down ¥319.39.
Nikkei 225 mini futures were at ¥63,155, down ¥1,735 from the previous day, with trading volume at 389,860 contracts. TOPIX futures were at 3,978.5 points, down 44 points from the previous day and approximately 31.77 points below the cash index.
Among related contracts, JPX-Nikkei 400 futures were at ¥35,710, down ¥380 from the previous day; TSE Growth Index futures were at 754, down 14; and TSE REIT Index futures were at 1,738.5, down 13.
Trading volume was 23,435 contracts for Nikkei 225 futures, 389,860 for Nikkei 225 mini futures, 36,614 for TOPIX futures, 2,534 for JPX-Nikkei 400 futures, 1,870 for Growth futures and 109 for REIT futures.
