In the morning session, the Nikkei 225 stood at ¥68,222.60, down ¥734.12, the TOPIX at 4,093.54 points, down 38.44 points, and the Growth 250 at 799.54, down 2.80 points. Attention has consequently focused on the performance of stocks viewed as attractively valued.
Morning Session Comments No. 10 cited figures including Advantest at ¥37,610, up ¥3,350; PHC Holdings at ¥1,684, up ¥254; and NPC at ¥769, up ¥58.
As for additional movements in individual stocks, INPEX rose from ¥4,700 to ¥4,800, SMC remained at ¥1,500, and no particular price was shown for Nippon Ham. Ferrotec, Osho Food, Ogaki Bank, VALQUA, Sojitz and CKD were also mentioned in the morning session comments.
