Entrepreneur Nishimura Hiroyuki (西村博之) posted another opinion on the topic of sending children to international schools. He discussed overseas visas and immigration conditions, as well as the impact of parents’ English skills.
On 5 September, entrepreneur Hiroyuki, also known as Nishimura Hiroyuki (西村博之), shared his views on X about sending children to international schools. In comments following those he made the previous day, he reiterated his views on working overseas and educational environments.
He pointed out that even Japanese nationals who have worked in the United States for many years on valid visas can feel anxious about immigration enforcement, with some refraining from traveling because they are concerned about re-entry when returning from a trip to Japan. He also explained that the number of anti-immigration lawmakers is increasing in Europe.
He further wrote, “I feel that parents who cannot follow developments abroad in foreign languages are too quick to aspire to send their children to international schools.” The post drew responses including the argument that “many parents can speak English,” and also featured exchanges in which he responded.
