The Nikkei 225 continued to decline in morning trading on the Tokyo stock market on the 10th, falling ¥545 from the previous day to ¥64,597. The decline temporarily exceeded ¥900.
About 60% of Prime Market stocks declined in the morning, with share prices falling for stocks such as Tokyo Electron and SoftBank Group.
Higher oil prices and rising long-term interest rates remained concerns once again, while risk-off selling spread across the market.
The Nikkei 225's movement appeared to follow concerns over deterioration in the previous day's US stock market, and market activity was limited in the morning.
