昭和真空 lowered its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit in the first half of the current fiscal year, expecting it to turn to a loss. Revenue is expected to decline significantly due to delays in the timing of new orders, while the full-year forecast remains unchanged.
昭和真空 announced an earnings revision on 16 October, revising cumulative consolidated ordinary profit for the first half, from April to September, from the previous forecast of a ¥77 million profit to a ¥197 million loss. Revenue was reduced from ¥3,500 million to ¥2,370 million.
Operating loss for the period is expected to be ¥199 million, and net loss ¥203 million. Revised dividends per share are expected to be ¥0, and revised EPS is expected to be -¥32.8. The main factor cited was the decline in revenue resulting from projects being postponed to the second half or later.
Meanwhile, the full-year ordinary profit forecast was maintained at the previous forecast of ¥820 million. Although it is expected to decline from ¥1.17 billion in the previous fiscal year, the full-year plan itself remains unchanged. The company stated that future results may be affected by external factors, including changes in the timing of revenue recognition.
