Huawei will unveil a range of new products in Munich on 2 September. The blood-pressure-monitoring WATCH D3 and GT 7 series will take center stage, alongside the WATCH 6, tablets, audio devices and smartphones.
Huawei held a major new-product launch event in Munich, Germany, on 2 September, unveiling a broad range of products centered on smartwatches under its global “Chase the Wild” campaign. Seeking to restore its presence in the European market, the company is pursuing a strategy of fully developing its ecosystem beyond smartphones. The flagship product is the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 series, which features an enhanced design and outdoor functionality, expanded health-management features and exceptionally long battery life.
Another headline product is the HUAWEI WATCH 6 series, which marks the company’s return after a temporary absence from the European market. It comes with a classic round display and a choice of 3 colors. The expanded X-Tap sensor area on the right side is expected to support the simultaneous activation of multiple sensors, including those for heart rate, blood oxygen and skin temperature, as well as ECG measurement. The company emphasized an update strategy centered on software enhancements and stronger AI analysis.
The healthcare product attracting the most attention is the next-generation blood-pressure-monitoring watch, the “HUAWEI WATCH D3,” which has obtained EU CE-MDR medical-device certification. It is said to offer medical-grade blood-pressure measurement, reflecting a strategy to bring digital blood-pressure management into everyday wear. The audio and tablet segments will also be refreshed, with the 12-inch “HUAWEI MatePad Pro” and the “HUAWEI FreeBuds Neo,” unveiled globally for the first time, among the products scheduled for launch.
