Sockets Inc. announced an investment in ミュージック・クラッカー. Through collaboration, the two companies aim to advance their businesses in the IP data tech field by leveraging extensive entertainment data and affective AI.
The market is shifting toward data-driven entertainment, where generative AI and human creativity coexist. Sockets Inc. acquired an IP licensing business platform in October 2026 and aims to take on a role beyond that of a data provider. Competitor NexTone has expanded the number of songs under management and is increasing its presence in both copyright management and distribution.
ミュージック・クラッカー is represented by Kobayashi Kazuyuki (小林 和之), formerly of Warner Music Japan, and operates businesses supporting artists' global expansion and providing agency services. Sockets Inc. plans to use its proprietary database and affective AI to combine them with ミュージック・クラッカー's network and promote joint projects.
Going forward, the companies will strengthen a structure that combines a data management platform (DMP) with their businesses to provide end-to-end support, from talent discovery through marketing and distribution. They aim to create opportunities for Japanese IP to succeed globally and establish a new standard for supporting creators.
