China’s Akeso and Summit Therapeutics of the United States have begun an international Phase 2 trial targeting renal cell carcinoma. The trial includes a combination arm of ivonescimab, which targets PD-1/VEGF, and cadonilimab, which targets PD-1/CTLA-4.
China’s Akeso announced on 19 October 2026 that it would jointly launch an international Phase 2 trial targeting kidney cancer with Summit Therapeutics of the United States.
The trial includes a combination arm of Akeso-developed bispecific antibodies ivonescimab, which targets PD-1/VEGF, and cadonilimab, which targets PD-1/CTLA-4.
