A renovation lasting approximately 1.5 years was carried out mainly at Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Minoh Onsen Spa Garden in Minoh, Osaka. The facility has been transformed into an onsen retreat and will introduce the Mirai Human Washing Machine as a private bath.
GENSEN HOLDINGS has reopened the facilities in the Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Minoh Kanko Hotel group, including Minoh Onsen Spa Garden, following renovations. The concept has shifted from its former lively theme to an onsen retreat focused on nature and relaxation. The Yamami-no-Yu large public bath has been given a green-based wall design, while its circular bathtub has been retained and the interior and lighting renewed. The other bath, Yagura Hinoki-no-Yu, has also been transformed into a modern space incorporating wooden structures and natural stone.
The newly created relaxation areas are also extensive, including the Kutsurogi Space, designed to encourage guests to stay after bathing, the outdoor Dandan-no-Oka and Harappa areas, and Hitoyasumi-no-Kodachi, which offers approximately 5,000 manga titles. A working space, Kokage-no-Tsukue, and the Yasuragi-no-Shiba relaxation floor have also been provided.
The Mirai Human Washing Machine, which attracted attention at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, is being offered as a private bath where guests can experience the facility in person. Each room accommodates 2–4 people for 90 minutes per session, at a price of ¥11,000 per room, and is available to junior high school students and older. In principle, same-day bookings are accepted on-site on a first-come, first-served basis. Overnight guests have priority access to the 7:30–9:00 slots, while day visitors can also use the facility at other times. It opened on 1 October 2026.
