SwitchBot officially announced its new SwitchBot RGBIC Light Bar for Japan. The domestic retail price, including tax, is ¥8,980, and a 15% launch discount is scheduled to apply from 13 to 19 October.
The product is a set of 2 bar-shaped smart lights, with each bar equipped with 1 RGBIC LED and white LEDs. The RGBIC lighting can be controlled individually across 6 zones per bar, or 12 zones in total, and supports 16 million colors.
White light can be adjusted from a color temperature of 2,200K to 6,500K, covering both daylight and warm white. Brightness can be dimmed from 1% to 100%, with maximum combined brightness of 800 lumens.
The lights use magnetic mounting, allowing flexible placement on metal surfaces. They can also be mounted behind monitors or under shelves, and Matter support enables integration with Google Home, Apple Home, Amazon Alexa and SmartThings. Music synchronization offers 6 modes through the built-in microphone, and the lights can also be used to display the status of AI agents via an API.
