LegalOn Technologies Group has launched its data sovereignty-compliant governance platform, Fides Sovereign Governance, in Europe. In collaboration with Germany's secunet, G+D has decided to become the first adopter.
Fides, a group company of LegalOn Technologies, has launched Fides Sovereign Governance, a governance platform designed to meet data sovereignty requirements, in Europe. In collaboration with secunet, it uses the company's cloud infrastructure, with Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) becoming the first adopter. This provides European companies with an environment for managing highly confidential management information, including board materials, in accordance with their own policies and applicable laws.
Against a backdrop of increasing digitisation of confidential information related to corporate decision-making, the importance of selecting services based on data storage location, the entity responsible for managing the data and applicable laws is growing. In particular, demand is increasing for "sovereign solutions" that meet data sovereignty requirements, given the current exposure to the impact of the US CLOUD Act.
Under the collaboration, secunet provides the cloud infrastructure, which is combined with Fides' functionality to create an environment in Germany that meets stringent security requirements. Customers can use Fides' governance functions and the cloud infrastructure under a single contract, making it easier to migrate from services provided by US operators.
The group will bring together its expertise in Europe and promote initiatives across the group to meet European data sovereignty needs. It will expand the provision of solutions to European companies, including G+D, that combine the management of corporate information with more efficient governance operations.
