Daiei Kankyo announced that it had acquired all shares of the newly incorporated company to be jointly established by Torshin and Reko, making it a consolidated subsidiary. The businesses covered the manufacture and sale of recycled PET flakes and pellets and the manufacture of recycled sheets.
The raw material for the businesses is used PET bottles. The company manufactures PET flakes and pellets and possesses the technology and expertise to recycle them into products such as egg cartons and clear files. Combined with the Daiei Kankyo Group's expertise in designing plastic waste recycling and manufacturing facilities, this is expected to contribute to the group's growth strategy.
Going forward, the group is also considering expanding this technology and expertise into recycling businesses involving other materials, such as polypropylene and polyethylene. It aims to maximize its value as social infrastructure supporting the circular economy, without limiting itself to a particular field.
The transaction is based on the announcement of the execution of a basic agreement dated 2 November 2026. The company has indicated a policy of ensuring the continuity and expansion of the businesses through their consolidation as subsidiaries.
