NPC raised its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2026 by 14.9% from its previous forecast after the market close on 30 September. Meanwhile, its full-year consolidated net profit forecast was revised down to ¥480 million.
After the market close on 30 September, NPC announced revisions to its earnings forecasts, raising consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending August 2026 by 14.9%, from the previous forecast of ¥760 million to ¥880 million. Actual ordinary profit in the previous year was ¥1.92 billion.
However, full-year consolidated net profit was revised down 9.4%, from the previous forecast of ¥530 million to ¥480 million, while actual net profit in the previous fiscal year was ¥1.32 billion.
At the same time, consolidated ordinary profit for the March-August period, based on the second half, was raised 15.2%, from the previous forecast of ¥750 million to ¥860 million. The company now expects the decline in profit to narrow from ¥1.27 billion in the same period last year.
The assumptions for second-half performance presented by the company include delays in large domestic projects, delays in the acceptance inspection of some equipment, and the impact of design changes and relocation work for the US market. The company plans to leave the year-end dividend unchanged at ¥10.
