Paidy announced that its management structure will change effective 1 November 2026. Chishu Hashimoto (橋本知周) will become president, and Ryuji Kato (加藤龍司) will become Chair and CEO.
Paidy LLC announced on 26 October that its management structure would change effective 1 November 2026. Under the new structure, Ryuji Kato (加藤龍司), who had served as Representative Member, Executive Officer, President and CEO, will become Chair and CEO, while Chishu Hashimoto (橋本知周) will become President and Executive Officer.
Chishu Hashimoto (橋本知周) joined Paidy in 2017, subsequently overseeing the sales and marketing divisions, and has served as Executive Vice President since 2019. In connection with his appointment, he cited expanding awareness of BNPL and the company's growth, stating that he aims to expand the business and contribute to the development of the industry with a view to the next 10 to 20 years. Hashimoto joined Paidy after gaining experience at Rakuten, DeNA and PayPal.
Ryuji Kato (加藤龍司) joined Paidy from PayPal in December 2024 and became Representative Member, Executive Officer, President and CEO. He is said to have since focused on strengthening cooperation within the PayPal Group and expanding the business, and has indicated that he will continue working to enhance organisational capabilities and corporate value as Chair and CEO.
Under the new management structure, Paidy will continue providing payment services that emphasise convenience and safety, aiming for long-term business expansion and industry development as a leading company in the BNPL market.
