Under VISION 2030 stage2, announced in May 2025, GUNZE is expanding activities that contribute to the revitalisation of local communities and the development of the next generation. It has held workshops and safety education programmes in collaboration with children and young people, primarily in Shiga and Kyoto.
GUNZE operated a booth as a sponsoring company at the Moriyama Summer Festival in Moriyama, Shiga Prefecture, holding an original bottle-making workshop using shrink film for labels. Local high school students and members of the Community Collaborative Research Club participated in jointly operating the booth, providing an opportunity for community interaction and hands-on manufacturing for the fourth time.
On the day, the high school students and employees worked together to provide 400 bottles. Despite the heat, they deepened their interaction with visitors and indicated their intention to continue promoting activities that connect with the next generation.
GUNZE Sports held clothed-swimming experience sessions at all of its locations, allowing children and their parents to experience how to respond to water-related emergencies while wearing clothes. A total of 294 people participated. The programme also sought to promote safety awareness by requiring preschool children to participate with a parent or guardian.
GUNZE exhibited at Kyoto Learning and Nurturing Marche 2026, hosted by Kyoto Prefecture, and set up an interactive booth where participants could learn about the functions of underwear and the enjoyment of manufacturing. Technologies including underwear's moisture absorption and quick-drying properties, deodorisation and CUT OFF were presented in demonstration format, providing children and their parents in the community with an opportunity to learn.
