イチカワ significantly raised its first-half ordinary profit forecast and also increased its full-year forecast. First-half profit is now expected to improve substantially from the previous plan, while full-year profit is also expected to grow.
イチカワ announced an earnings revision during the afternoon session on 30 October. It revised upward its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027 (April-September), from the previous forecast of ¥600 million to ¥940 million. Consolidated ordinary profit was ¥940 million in the same period of the previous fiscal year, and the upward revision brings the forecast to that level.
Against the backdrop of strong first-half performance, the company also revised upward its full-year consolidated ordinary profit forecast, from ¥1.4 billion to ¥1.55 billion. Full-year ordinary profit was ¥1.63 billion in the previous fiscal year, so the expected decline rate for the full year narrowed from 14.3% to 5.1%.
The revision represents a 56.7% upward revision to the first-half profit forecast and indicates a narrower decline rate. As a result, the full-year profit outlook has improved from the previous plan.
