PlayStation has announced 2 audio products for PS5: the PlayStation PULSE wireless headset and the PULSE Edge wireless headset. Both models feature planar magnetic drivers and low-latency connectivity via PlayStation Link.
PlayStation has announced the PULSE wireless headset and PULSE Edge wireless headset as a new lineup for PS5. The company said both devices use custom-designed planar magnetic drivers to reproduce fine sonic details clearly.
Both headsets support PlayStation Link, enabling near-zero-latency switching between compatible devices including PS5, the PlayStation Portal remote player, PC and Mac, while also allowing simultaneous connection to Bluetooth devices.
PULSE and PULSE Edge feature built-in AI noise rejection, along with a comfortable fit and durability designed for extended use. Their earcups rotate for flat storage, and both models will be available in White and Midnight Black. PULSE Edge adds an 8-magnet driver, ANC, a detachable boom microphone and a carrying case.
As for the product launch schedule, PULSE for PS5 is scheduled to launch in select regions during the holiday season. PULSE Edge is scheduled for a phased launch beginning in early 2027, with a working model to be displayed at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
