DAIICHIKOSHO revised upward its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 after the market closed on the 6th. The revision was prompted by SG&A expenses coming in below expectations, while first-quarter results also remained firm.
DAIICHIKOSHO revised upward its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, raising net sales from ¥168.7 billion to ¥169.0 billion, operating profit from ¥18.5 billion to ¥19.3 billion, and net income from ¥12.2 billion to ¥12.6 billion.
The main factors behind the new outlook included SG&A expenses coming in below expectations, particularly costs related to the cost of goods sold for equipment sales and rentals, personnel expenses, and promotional expenses in the commercial karaoke business.
First-quarter results for April-June, announced at the same time, showed net sales of ¥41.157 billion, up 1.5% year on year, operating profit of ¥4.991 billion, up 17.6%, and net income of ¥3.137 billion, down 10.9%. Overall, results remained firm.
The upward revision appears to have been driven largely by the factors restraining SG&A expenses, and market reaction to the outlook for future performance will be closely watched.
