長野計器 raised its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to ¥10.2 billion and also raised its first-half forecast to ¥4.6 billion. As a result, the company is expected to post a record profit for the first time in two fiscal years.
After the close of trading on 23 October, 長野計器 announced revisions to its earnings forecasts, raising its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending March 2027 from ¥6.4 billion to ¥10.2 billion. Ordinary profit is expected to increase by approximately 48.6% year on year, marking the first record profit in two fiscal years.
At the same time, the forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the April–September period was raised from ¥2.9 billion to ¥4.6 billion, indicating a substantial increase from ¥3.16 billion in the same period of the previous year.
The company attributed the revisions to a recovery in demand for industrial machinery and process applications in its pressure gauge business, as well as increased demand for pneumatic equipment accompanying the acceleration of semiconductor-related investment. In the pressure sensor business, demand for facility applications has expanded substantially.
Looking ahead, sales are expected to exceed the initial forecast against the backdrop of these demand trends, with the revised full-year and first-half forecasts both expected to be achieved.
