Mitsui Chemicals launched a new product in its InnoCell cell culture plate range. The P type is suitable for culturing iPS cell-derived organoids, including intestinal, kidney and brain organoids, and supports drug discovery research with its highly transparent resin film and high oxygen permeability.
Mitsui Chemicals announced on the 5th that it had launched a new product in its InnoCell cell culture plate range. The product is intended for culturing mini-organs, or organoids, used to evaluate drugs, and features high oxygen permeability.
InnoCell uses a special resin film that is highly transparent and allows oxygen to pass through easily, making organoid growth and observation easier. The product is positioned as promoting the growth of three-dimensional cells in an environment closer to that of a living organism than conventional products.
The new P type is suitable for culturing iPS cell-derived organoids, including intestinal, kidney and brain organoids. Together with the 2 types already on the market, it expands the product lineup.
Demand is growing in drug discovery research for cell-based evaluation models such as organoids, which are used to assess drug efficacy and side effects in an environment closer to that of a living organism. InnoCell is positioned as a tool supporting this research.
