Three former employees of a consolidated subsidiary of SENKO Group Holdings Co.,Ltd. were arrested on suspicion of breach of trust, and the company announced that its internal investigation had identified approximately ¥367.466 million in fictitious and inflated billings from fiscal 2019 through fiscal 2024.
On 2 November 2026, the Osaka Prefectural Police arrested 2 former depot managers of 南大阪センコー運輸整備株式会社 and the representative of a partner transport company, 3 people in total, on suspicion of breach of trust. They are suspected of having caused the company approximately ¥136 million in losses by having fictitious transport charges billed 28 times between October 2022 and January 2025.
On the same day, the company explained that an internal investigation report published in November 2025 had identified ¥367.466 million excluding tax in fictitious and inflated billings from fiscal 2019 through fiscal 2024. The investigation cited cash kickbacks through delivery partner companies and falsification of dispatch sheets as evidence of the misconduct.
The amount alleged in the arrest warrant and the amount identified by the internal investigation concern different periods and transactions, and the company indicated that the arrests do not necessarily mean that the amount identified by the internal investigation is the amount at issue in the arrests. Conclusions are expected to depend on the progress of the investigation and judicial proceedings.
SENKO Group Holdings Co.,Ltd. has stated that it will fully cooperate with the police investigation and strengthen its internal controls, management systems and employee training. Attention is expected to focus on the implementation of measures to strengthen governance and prevent a recurrence.
