TSL Partners and Dutch-based Briddge Legal & Finance have entered into a basic agreement for a business partnership to support Japanese companies expanding into Europe and European companies entering Japan. The firms will coordinate their Japan and European points of contact, share information and hold joint seminars and other initiatives.
TSL Partners has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU), dated 19 June 2026, with Netherlands-based Briddge Legal & Finance to strengthen support for Japanese companies expanding into Europe and European companies entering Japan in connection with cross-border matters. The two firms will coordinate their respective local points of contact and establish a framework to address practical operational needs.
The partnership will cover client referrals and matter coordination between Japan and Europe, the sharing of information and practical expertise, joint marketing activities such as seminars, webinars and joint reports, and joint participation in Japan-Europe business-matching events. As independent businesses, the two firms will provide services under their respective professional qualification systems and will not pay or receive referral fees.
The support will cover cross-border matters between Japan and Europe generally. The Japan-side contact will handle company formation, employment, labor matters, fundraising, M&A and intellectual property matters for Japanese companies, while the European-side contact will handle local entity formation, compliance with local regulations, employment law, payroll, work visas, employer of record (EOR) services, bookkeeping and financial reporting. The firms plan to hold joint seminars and webinars and publish joint reports, and Briddge plans to visit Japan to discuss future initiatives.
