日本TmaxSoft and Kyndryl Japan have reached a basic agreement to accelerate mainframe modernization for Japanese companies and announced plans to establish the OpenFrame Modernization Center of Excellence (OpenFrame CoE). The companies aim to build an integrated structure spanning sales and marketing, project delivery, maintenance and support, providing strong support for mainframe exit and migration to the cloud.
The OpenFrame CoE will serve as a specialist organization leveraging OpenFrame. It aims to move away from the conventional project-by-project systems integration model and establish an efficient service delivery model based on standardization, reuse and functional specialization. This is intended to enable the rapid delivery of high-quality modernization services.
Through the establishment of the OpenFrame CoE, the companies will pursue initiatives including jointly creating mainframe modernization opportunities, jointly advancing sales and marketing activities, coordinating project delivery structures, and jointly providing maintenance and support. By combining their expertise and technology in large-scale migrations in the Japanese market, they aim to provide solutions that contribute to customers’ digital transformation and sustainable growth.
