At the National Route 249 restoration site following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, a JV of OBAYASHI CORPORATION and 宮地組 is advancing embankment work by coordinating autonomous construction machinery. The dump truck is operated autonomously, while loading is performed remotely, advancing the automation of the work.
Restoration work on uplifted terrain caused by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake is under way at the National Route 249 full restoration site in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Construction is being carried out by the OBAYASHI CORPORATION–宮地組 regional maintenance joint venture (JV).
At the site, an autonomous articulated dump truck transports soil, which is loaded into its bed by an autonomous backhoe, while a remotely operated backhoe handles auxiliary work. Areas where embankment work is performed at designated waiting positions are also handled through coordination among autonomous machines.
Before and after embankment work, remotely operated and autonomous machinery is being coordinated to improve safety and efficiency. The restoration section is intended to restore coastal areas damaged by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
