Boulies announced the new Boulies Master Rex 2026 chair, featuring 6D armrests and lumbar support. Plans for expansion in the Japanese market and collaboration models with Japanese IP were also disclosed.
Gaming-chair maker Boulies held a business strategy presentation marking its first anniversary of entering the Japanese market and introduced its new Boulies Master Rex 2026 product. The company also presented its initiatives in Japan, future expansion plans and the actual product.
CEO Bao Chenfei (包晨飛) said that Japanese-market demand places particular emphasis on quality, comfort during extended use and adaptability to space constraints in the home. He explained how these considerations would be reflected in products for Japan and in the company's global expansion. He also indicated that the company intends to apply past sales data and user feedback to product development.
The new Boulies Master Rex 2026 features lumbar support built into the backrest and 6D armrests, while the backrest reclines to a maximum of 165 degrees and the footrest can be stored. It is designed to handle everything from desk work to taking a break with a single chair.
The 6D armrests allow multifunctional adjustment of height, forward and backward position, left and right position, rotation and angle, enabling the armrest position to be optimised to the width of the seat. Test users rated the depth of the recline and the flexibility of the armrests highly, and noted that the chair is suitable for everyday use and extended periods of work.
Pre-orders will begin on Makuake on 22 October. The regular retail price is ¥72,800, while the early-bird price is ¥46,800, with plans including an extra-early-bird offer also available. The company also disclosed plans to strengthen its expansion in the Japanese market and develop limited-edition collaboration models with Japanese IP.
