Nagoya Takashimaya will host an event bringing together approximately 400 types of bread from across Japan. From 14 to 19 October, the 10th-floor event venue will offer a varied lineup including freshly baked bread and popular sweet breads.
The Bread Festa, now in its 3rd edition, brings popular shops and specialty stores from across Japan to Nagoya, with a focus on freshly baked bread and popular sweet breads. Approximately 400 types of bread from Hokkaido to Fukuoka will be available, including items prepared at the venue and limited-edition products.
A total of 38 stores will participate, including 10 first-time participants, of which 5 will be making their first appearance in the Tokai region. The selection will center on freshly made bread baked, fried and finished at the venue, alongside a range of products including gourmet burgers, croissants, curry bread and shrimp burgers. Some products will be available exclusively at the venue.
Participating stores include a gourmet burger specialty shop from Tokyo, a bistro bakery from Ishikawa, a salt-bread specialty shop from Hyogo using Awajishima sea salt, Aichi-based Bankaku Sohonten’s shrimp burgers, and scones made with Hokkaido pie dough. A large number of breads are also scheduled to be sold through live demonstrations.
The event will run from 14 October (Wednesday) to 19 October (Monday), at the event venue on the 10th floor of JR Nagoya Takashimaya. The participating-store information also includes details of each store’s features, collaborative products and limited sales.
