広島電鉄 has introduced the new individual-customer plan “Night Tram 768.” The initiative allows individuals to experience the vehicle, which had previously been used mainly for group and charter bookings, with the aim of making it a popular Hiroshima night attraction.
The service is planned as an approximately 90-minute round trip from Hiroshima Station to Hiroden-nishi-Hiroshima Station. Beer and other drinks are available without limit on board, and passengers may bring their own food and beverages. 2 bento options are available as add-ons.
The individual-customer plan was jointly developed with the prefectural tourism federation, with 18 services scheduled by March next year. 広島電鉄 is also moving forward with the resumption of its chartered bus business and strengthening its tourism initiatives.
The onboard presentation includes decorative lighting, and the vehicle is designed to provide elevated views of the city from above floor level.
