UNDOKAI WORLD CUP 2026, a sports event focused on well-being hosted by Pasona Group, will be held from 30 October to 1 November on Awaji Island and elsewhere. Approximately 25 mascots will gather, and a range of other events, including disaster-preparedness exhibits and firework-making workshops, will also be held.
UNDOKAI WORLD CUP 2026, hosted by Pasona Group, will be held on Awaji Island as one of Japan's largest athletic festivals, an event that has continued since 2016. It is scheduled to run from Friday, 30 October to Sunday, 1 November, with the main venue being Akashi Kaikyo National Government Park on Awaji Island. The previous event attracted a total of 40,000 visitors, including participants from a broad range of age groups as well as companies and organizations.
A concurrent event, “Hajimari no Shima Awajikara Festival,” will bring together approximately 25 mascot characters from across Japan for performances and athletic competitions. In the disaster-preparedness area, equipment and supplies will be displayed in cooperation with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.
The event will also offer firework-making workshops and food and beverage booths featuring ingredients from Awaji Island, providing activities for a broad range of age groups.
The event will feature athletic competitions, including giant-ball rolling, ball-tossing, obstacle-course relays, water-carrying races and 20-meter races. First through third place in each category are scheduled to receive awards. Participation is free, but separate admission to the venue is required. The official website is being updated regularly with information on eligibility and other competition details, and advance participant registration will open on the official website on 11 September.
