Sanyo Shokai held SANYO Role-Playing 2026, a customer-service role-playing competition for sales staff nationwide, on 8 September 2026 as part of its efforts to promote human capital management. The 12 participants who advanced through the preliminary rounds gave presentations, and recordings of outstanding customer-service examples will be used in future training.
As part of its medium-term management plan, Sanyo Shokai has increased investment in human capital and identified the promotion of human capital management as one of its material issues. The event was held as part of a personnel development initiative aimed at improving customer-service capabilities in stores and enhancing the value of the customer experience.
The event was open to sales staff nationwide and was intended to help them learn and share customer-service styles based on the SANYO Service Policy, the company’s service philosophy. The aim was to enable sales staff to learn from one another’s outstanding customer-service examples and promote the delivery of high-quality service.
This fiscal year, 12 representatives who advanced through the preliminary rounds performed role-plays based on actual customer-service situations. Each presented a refined style, including comfortable service from the customer’s perspective and the ability to make proposals that draw out latent needs.
The presentations were recorded on video and will be used as training materials in the future. It has been reported that sharing outstanding examples with sales staff nationwide will help improve customer-service capabilities commensurate with the value of the products.
