CAVE has published the future roadmap for New Testament: DoDonPachi Resurrection. The training feature is scheduled for October, Shooting Royale will be unlocked in November, and Black Label is planned for this winter, among other updates.
This game is a refined version of the 2008 arcade release and was launched with additions including Assist Mode and a new mode supporting multiplayer for up to 10 players. Shortly after release, the developer apologised for bugs and explained that it was considering the content of future updates. A play report and developer interview were also published, including an explanation of the intent behind the difficulty adjustments as one of the game's attractions.
Following the preview on 3 September, the roadmap published on 18 September revealed a four-stage plan. In October, the training feature will be implemented, along with changes to the stages, including AREA6, and the player's ship settings, as well as adjustments to the number of coins earned. In November, the 10-player Royale mode is scheduled to be unlocked through AREA6, while the expansion of matchmaking and locations for earning coins will also proceed.
This winter, Black Label, which was well received in the arcade version, is expected to be implemented, along with AREA6, new BGM and Assist Mode. The producer said it was regrettable that the team had not been able to meet 100% of requests, but explained that it would steadily carry out this update before moving on to development of the next phase. The mixed reviews on Steam continue to draw attention.
