NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS and IBM Japan have signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of AI governance and will consider building an audit and control framework that enables companies to use AI agents safely and appropriately.
NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS and IBM Japan signed a memorandum of understanding on 7 October covering collaboration in AI governance, which involves managing and operating the development, deployment and use of AI appropriately in accordance with laws, regulations and internal rules. At a press conference, executives from both companies explained the significance and details of the collaboration. As the use of AI agents expands, bringing greater difficulty in maintaining controls, complying with laws and regulations, and managing the risk of information leaks, the companies said that explainability for AI outputs and continuous control and auditing of usage are required.
NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS has a track record of developing and providing technologies including 析秘, a data utilization service, and SmartLiTA, an identity management platform. IBM Japan has global expertise and a product portfolio in AI governance and security.
