セカンドリテイリング raised its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 after the close of trading today. Operating profit is projected to increase to ¥17 billion from the previous forecast of ¥13 billion, while net profit is projected to rise to ¥8.2 billion from ¥6 billion. The sales forecast was left unchanged at ¥510 billion.
Factors behind the projected increase in profit include growth in sales of reused clothing and fashion accessories at the Second Street business, as well as the optimization of the pricing structure for reused smartphones at the Geo business.
For the six months ended September, the company reported sales of ¥246.767 billion, up 13.7% year on year, operating profit of ¥8.378 billion, up 64.8%, and net profit of ¥4.795 billion, up 48.6%. Growth in clothing and fashion accessories and strong sales of luxury goods contributed to the results, while an improved product mix also lifted profit.
The upward revision is based on materials released by the company.
