Medical Care Service, a Gakken Holdings group company, began providing its health-insurance-covered home-visit massage service, Home-Visit Massage Calm Care, on 1 October. The service covers Tokyo and the 3 surrounding prefectures of Kanagawa, Chiba and Saitama and is being rolled out through a franchise model. The franchise fee has been announced as ¥3,325,000, including tax.
The service is aimed at older people who have difficulty visiting a clinic due to mobility issues, being bedridden, joint contractures or similar conditions. The company says it will provide support tailored to each user's condition, place emphasis on cooperation with local healthcare and nursing care providers, and contribute to integrated community care.
The business is operated by the company, which is based in Saitama City, with President Yamamoto Norio (山本 教雄) leading its development. The company plans to promote the adoption of health-insurance-covered home-visit massage services by expanding its franchise network across Tokyo and the 3 surrounding prefectures.
