The kickoff ceremony for the 2026 Global Business Project was held at the University of Marketing and Distribution Sciences in Nishi-ku, Kobe, launching a project focused on Kao Corporation products. A total of 42 people participated, including international students from the university, and the participating companies include Kao and Pan Pacific International Holdings Corporation.
This year's theme is Kao × Don Quijote. Drawing on consumer perspectives in Asian markets and purchasing behavior in different countries, the international students will refine sales promotion proposals for the chain's stores in collaboration with company representatives. Proposals submitted last year were highly rated, subsequently adopted by the company, and are reportedly still in progress.
An information session was held on 23 July, with preparations advancing for this year's activities. An overview of the kickoff ceremony included the date and venue, a breakdown of participants, and the scheduled dates for the upcoming interim and final presentations. The university's educational policies and an introduction to the University of Marketing and Distribution Sciences were also provided.
For media inquiries, information was provided on media coverage of the kickoff ceremony and arrangements for individual interviews, along with contact details for the university's public relations representative.
