Motorola officially announced the new ultra-premium flagship smartphone “motorola signature 27” on 5 November local time. It was previewed at “Snapdragon Summit 2026” in September 2026 and is positioned as the second-generation model in the series. Under a new naming convention adopted for the first time, the last two digits of the year after launch are used in the product name, with 27 indicating 2027.
The device features Qualcomm’s flagship “Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6” processor, enhancing on-device AI processing, the camera experience and gaming performance. Its display is an Extreme AMOLED Duo with peak brightness of 12,000 nits, and the company also promotes improved power efficiency and longer service life compared with the previous model. The camera system combines a 50MP main camera, a periscope telephoto camera supporting 100x AI zoom, an ultrawide camera and an EVS action sensor, and has received a Gold Label from DXOMARK.
For video recording, the phone features a “Video Enhancement Engine” that automatically adjusts exposure and color tone through AI scene analysis, and supports Dolby Vision recording. For audio, it uses “Audio by B&O” through a partnership with Bang & Olufsen. The operating system is optimized for Google Gemini, supports GrapheneOS and provides up to 7 years of security updates.
Power comes from a 7,000mAh battery, with support for up to 90W wired charging and up to 50W wireless charging. The design offers durability compliant with MIL-STD-810H, and the available colors are PANTONE Coal Smoke and Capulet Olive. Official pricing starts at $1,599, with the global rollout expected over the coming months, while a Japan launch remains unannounced.
