穴吹興産 introduced M&A sourcing AI to improve its operations. Previously, opportunity information was received separately by each location, creating duplication and challenges in information sharing, while making the information cumbersome to manage. Following the implementation, opportunity information has been progressively centralised, and initiatives have advanced to standardise the review process.
The implementation came against a backdrop in which the company’s M&A teams operated from 2 locations, Tokyo and Takamatsu, and handled more than 50 opportunity reports each month. The company identified the generation of duplication through individual handling and the inability to share past review histories across the organisation as challenges. It sought to improve information management by selecting an automation service dedicated to M&A rather than a generic CRM.
Following the implementation, the time spent organising opportunities was reduced, allowing more time to be devoted to evaluating M&A itself. Going forward, the company plans to further enhance the quality and speed of its reviews, strengthen coordination with agents and accelerate M&A as a growth strategy.
