Shinagawa City's character “Hatachi no Ryoma” and Fukui Prefecture's Sakai City's official character “Sakai Hoyamaru” have announced their first collaboration in a stamp rally. Participants who collect stamps by visiting event venues and shops in Shinagawa City will have a chance to win luxury prizes from Sakai City. The campaign runs from 1 October to 15 November 2026, with entries due by 30 November.
DLE announced that “Hatachi no Ryoma,” the character serving as Shinagawa City's tourism ambassador, and Sakai City's official character “Sakai Hoyamaru” will collaborate on a stamp rally covering events and shops held in Shinagawa City. The campaign will be conducted as part of an initiative based on the mutual cooperation agreement between Shinagawa City and Sakai City.
During the campaign period, participants can collect stamps placed at event venues in Shinagawa City and at Sakai City's antenna shop and enter a lottery to win prizes for a total of 100 people, including Sakai City food products, signature local products and Shinagawa City merchandise. Participants who collect 2 or more stamps will receive a collaboration sticker.
The event schedule includes the “Shinagawa Autumn Canal Fireworks Festival 2026” on 10–11 October 2026, the “Nishikoyama Festival” on 25 October, and “Eebara” and “Tokyo Mega Illumi” on 3 November. The Sakai City antenna shop will be located on the first floor of M's Togoshi Ginza in Hiratsuka, Shinagawa City.
Hatachi no Ryoma is a character created by Shinagawa City in 2018 as part of a 150th-anniversary project commemorating Miyagi, and is based on Sakamoto Ryoma, with whom Shinagawa City has deep ties. DLE aims to contribute to regional revitalisation through this initiative.
